Pitstop LLC ("Pitstop," "Company," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Pitstop mobile application ("App" or "Service").
By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
We collect information you voluntarily provide when using the Service, including:
Account Information
Name, email address, and password when you register
Profile Information
Profile photo, bio, and other optional profile details
Listing Information (Hosts)
Photos, descriptions, pricing, location, and availability of garage or workshop spaces
Payment Information
Billing name, billing address, and payment details
Card information is processed and stored securely by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers
Communications
Messages sent between users through the in-app messaging system
Booking Information
Booking dates, times, and transaction history

We may automatically collect:
Device Information
Device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers
Usage Data
Pages viewed, features used, and actions taken within the App
Location Data
Approximate location used to show nearby listings, only when permission is granted

Firebase (Google)
Authentication and backend database services
Stripe, Inc.
Payment processing governed by stripe.com/privacy
Cloudinary
Image storage and delivery services subject to their Privacy Policy
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use collected information to:
Create and manage your account
Facilitate bookings between Hosts and Renters
Process payments and prevent fraud
Enable messaging between users
Display listings and match users with relevant spaces
Send transactional notifications
Provide customer support
Improve and maintain the Platform
Enforce Terms of Service
Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your data for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects without your knowledge.
3. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
3.1 With Other Users
To enable core functionality:
Hosts can see renter profile name and photo when a booking is made
Renters can see host profile name and photo
Listing information (location, photos, pricing, description) is visible to users
3.2 With Service Providers
We share data with trusted providers that help operate the Platform:
Google Firebase (authentication, database, backend services)
Stripe, Inc. (payment processing)
Cloudinary (image hosting and delivery)
These providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only to provide services to us.
3.3 For Legal Reasons
We may disclose information if required to:
Comply with legal obligations or government requests
Enforce our Terms of Service
Protect users, the public, or our rights
Investigate fraud, security issues, or abuse
3.4 Business Transfers
If Pitstop is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify users of any such change.
3.5 No Sale of Personal Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information for marketing purposes.
4. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY
4.1 Storage Location
Your data may be stored in the United States on servers operated by Firebase and Cloudinary. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
4.2 Security
We implement reasonable safeguards including:
Encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections
Firebase Authentication security systems
PCI-DSS compliant payment processing via Stripe
However, no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
4.3 Data Retention
We retain personal data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention or dispute resolution.
5. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
The Service is not intended for children under 18.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that such data has been collected, we will delete it promptly.
6. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
6.1 Account Information
You may update your account information in the App at any time.
6.2 Account Deletion

We will delete your data subject to legal obligations.
6.3 Location Data
You may disable location access in your device settings. Some features may not function properly if disabled.
6.4 Push Notifications
You may disable push notifications through device settings.
6.5 California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you may have rights including:
Right to know what personal data we collect
Right to request deletion
Right to opt out of sale of personal data

Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
